Dreamy and atmospheric album of medieval melodies that sound like the soundtrack to an ancient tale.
Avis Dei is an ensemble of ancient music from Moscow, which plays music inspired by the Middle Ages. The musicians recreate the original sound of ancient melodies using only traditional musical instruments - mandola, gait, European bagpipe, English horn, and many others, all texts are in Latin. The main repertoire of the ensemble is music, recreated from manuscripts of the XIII-XIV centuries. These are Spanish spiritual contigs and folk dances of Medieval Europe: France, Germany and Italy.
